CNN has an interesting article written by Rachel Zupek from Careerbuilder.com talking about Social Media and its effects on getting a job in todays search centric society.
So can social media really hurt your prospects of landing a job? I think it can and have personally worked with clients who have been in sticky situations where things they thought where no longer on the web came back to haunt them.
This is a great read so check out more after the break
Editor’s note: CNN.com has a business partnership with CareerBuilder.com, which serves as the exclusive provider of job listings and services to CNN.com.
As social media becomes the latest branding strategy, networking technique, job seeking tool and recruitment vehicle, it’s also becoming the latest way for people to get job offers rescinded, reprimanded at work and even fired.
